“Yes.” he confirmed, cocking his head to the side “As long as you don’t mind staying in that small room, of course. While a small space is fine for me, I wouldn’t want to force you to stay if you feel cramped” It was a concern that he’d begun thinking about. Daiyu had said that she wanted to get a place of her own when they’d first met. Shirong on the other hand was content with staying in the inn room however long he needed to… after all it was cheaper than having to pay rent and, well, as much as he didn’t want to think about it, now especially…. he wasn’t intending on being in Amestris permanently.
“Mm, well I’ve been completely fine with it, actually. I don’t think that would change just because of this.” It was truth though. Despite growing up in a large home with a room all to herself since birth, she didn’t mind small places. In fact whenever she got angry at her mother, she’d run and hide in a cramped closet; it was so comfortable that she had fell asleep and hours later, servants would be frantically looking for her during her little unintended nap.
“You also don’t have to worry about Lei-Fon. He’s grown comfortable with sleeping outside next to the Inn’s doors. He doesn’t budge until I leave and the only time he’d go into the room is to lay in the corner while you are out.”
“No, but you seemed interested in procuring a place of your own once you got more used to the city” He reminded her. “And speaking of Lei-Fon, even if what you say is true, I’m not so sure him always having to be left outside is an idea I like. What if it storms, for instance?” Granted, the Inn’s owners were fairly lax and probably would allow the dog inside in the event of bad weather, but still…
He shook his head and smiled faintly “Well, either way, I suppose this will be our arrangement for some time.” He held his hand out, a slight look of bashfulness on his face “Not this is anything new but, here’s to living together”
